You know those obnoxiously difficult shades that people put up in there car to reflect light and keep it cooler.  Well I want one of those without the hassle.  So, I’m thinking a fishing wire running between two tubes and a motor that basically mimics a pulley system and has some sort of built in motor.  In my sketch I had the material coming from both sides and to hold those together I would simply use magnets.

Currently I have a camping hammock that can be strung up between two trees, but whenever there aren’t trees around I have no hammock and that is simply unacceptable.  So, I want to make a travel/ foldable hammock stand so I can nap anywhere anytime.

I was thinking along the lines of a music box, but instead of strumming metal “branches” I would use a system of gears to whack tubes of varying sizes and pitches to create a percussive music system (box not necessarily necessary)

This is a really pretty simple design and concept, but regardless I have a water bottle that doesn’t fit in the cup holders of my car, thus cup-holder extender.

This would be one of those games that is basically a maze where you have two knobs that move a center plate in order to navigate a marble around from a starting point to a finish point.  It could be really beautiful if laser cut and assembled that way.

This idea is a self-watering multi-tiered planter.  I just think it could be a really interesting juxtaposition to grow plants from a very modern looking planter with geometric shapes and hard edges.  I have also seen a Bulbasaur planter that could be a very fun project to create.

I was thinking about 3-D printing a lamp in the shape of a tree.  I wanted to outfit the lamp with various leds of varying colors to make it look either like a mini christmas tree, or a green palm tree.

The personal skyspace would mimic the skyspace we have on campus, and would have tons of cool leds placed inside and around your head.  It is literally a wearable skyspace.  The other is a personal Ipad theater so one could simply lie down and watch a movie without having to prop up the ipad or hold it.

There is one of these in the Iron man movies, and it whips around and just keeps going.  I would also want to engrave a crest into the stand or something to make it more unique
