Stirling Engine – SolidWorks Assembly

The stirling engine that I will build as a final project is what I designed for this assignment. Below there is a rendering showing the whole engine and after that I focused on some details.

As you can guess the parts in wood will be made in the laser cutter, the pieces in white are PLA which means that they will be 3D printed and the parts in glass are syringes, they are perfect for this application because they have low friction and are also sealed, which won’t allow the air to leave the cylinder.

 

Looking closer you can see that this assembly also have bearings, I have the specifications of all of them, and I used SolidWorks ToolBox to add them to this assembly.
