Hi! My name is Natalie Goddard. I am a junior studying Material Science and Nanoengineering. At Rice I am also a member of the Cross Country and Track team, Rice All-Stars and Chi Alpha.

Something that I love making is scrapbooks. I make them after vacations, school years, or as presents for friends. I think they are a great way to store memories and also tell your story! One of my favorite scrapbooks I’ve made was a scrapbook from my trip to Israel this summer. Instead of making a book like a traditional scrapbook I added my pictures and memorabilia to a map of the coutry I was given.

In the future I would love to make a really cool present for my dad (he’s really hard to shop for). This could be some type of puzzle, lawn game or home decor.

Something that I really hope to learn in ENGI 210 is how to turn an idea in my head to reality. I know that there are often unforseen challenges when actually creating something and getting good at something takes practice!
