Phoenix Blade

For this assignment, I decided to cut the shape of a Phoenix which unfortunately was not precisely captured. The angles were blurred, taking away from the shape definition. For post-processing, I chose to produce sharp filing lines that conceptually mimic a “storm”. the direction of these lines was intentionally set to give the viewer the impression that it’s against the direction the bird is flying. Two of the four edges end in a blade (blunt for safety). They are intentionally the edges that are a continuation of the “storm”. Producing the blades took a lot of caution and consistency in the filing motion.

The phoenix symbolizes pushing past burnout.
