Cris’ Initial Post

I’m Cris a current graduate student of the GMI, a masters program in Bioengineering. Travelling and playing tennis are two of my favorite things to do in this world.

While I was doing my undergrad in Spain, I created a capacitive sensor so people with cognitive issues could use them during rehabilitation. The design was as Figure 1 shows, and the idea was to have 3 different cards (of any topic, like for example fruits) on top. The underlying idea was to make the user remember the different objects that the cards were displaying. If the apple was asked, the user had to placed her/his hand over the apple card. We knew that he had done it right thanks to the recording showed in the Arduino code, which values increased as the hand was approaching to the sensor.

With this class ENGI 210, I hope to get creative and design something cool; which I don’t know what it will be yet.
