Rodolfo’s Introduction to ENGI 210

Greetings! My name is Rodolfo and I’m a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering and pursuing a minor in Engineering Design. I’ve previously been involved with the Rice Electrical Vehicle club, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and I enjoy reading and playing video games during my free time.

During my ENGI 200 course I built a waterproof tank made out of acrylic and Epoxy adhesive as part of our group project to create a simulated coral reef. Learning how to use the laser cutter was very fun and I look forward to learning and using more machines around the OEDK to create new projects such as a portable bookshelf. I’m especially looking forward to learning how to create objects using 3D printers, but overall I’m excited to learn more about the engineering design process.
