Diamond Metal Cutting

For this project I ended up creating a Metal diamond. IT all started off first with plasma cutting it, I would’ve taken a better picture, but you’re really not supposed to stare too long at plasma.

After citting out the diamond, I got a very choppy looking diamond, for which I repeated the cutting process. After that, I ended up with 2 diamonds, and then I proceeded to Angle Grind them to remove their plasma-frayed edges and their drab looking dark gray color. After which, I then proceeded to sandblast the metal diamonds to clean up any parts the Angle Grinder did not touch. I then opted for spray painting my metal diamonds, as powder coating them with electrolysis seeemed a little dangerous. THe unfortunate side effect of spray painting meant that a small amount of the paint mixed at their boundary line, but otherwise both parts ended up coming out the same.
