Hi! My name is Jesse, and I’m using my time here at Rice to explore a lot of different academic interests such as Engineering Design, Marine Biology, and Languages (to name a few). At Rice, I am also a tour guide and can ben found at the pool very often.
For my ENGI 120 project, me and my team have made a pretty cool device that can help avoid collisions between pedestrians and cyclists. This device used RADAR sensors, infrared sensors, and required coding in Arduino.
In the future, I hope to make-amongst other things-high heels out of materials such as wood or a hard materials that can be cast in the shape of a shoe.
In ENGI 210 I hope to learn more about different modes of fabrication such as molding, casting, and 3D printing. I also hope to learn how to transform a creative idea in to something tangible.
