I grew up on a farm. For me, I would say I am “not strange” with the equipment in the woodshop, as well as using the miter saw. I remember I did some woodwork with my grandparents when I was a child. However, as you know, my grandparents always worried that I might get hurt while operating these tools. So, they always avoid me to use these tools. Over time, I did not have the chance to familiarize myself with them.

When I studied away from home, I started to have a chance and space to fix a build some stuff by myself. Especially when I see something is broken, I always have the impulse to fix it. I know “the spirit of handmarker” is not away from me.
PART II
Even though I have less experience with woodwork, Joe is still willing to group with me and give me a lot of chances to practice.
- We cut and polished wood together. Also, Joe provided many tips to me.
- Last Friday, when I completed the first layer of the crate, I was so proud of myself.
- Later, we started to assemble the remaining parts to finish it.
- Last but not least, Joe spent a lot of time painting the oil and making the surface of the crate smoother in order to make this crate perfect. I have followed many handmade-related YouTubers. I totally understand it is important and time-consuming. Thank you, Joe.
