round things are strange, because you never quite know how they’re gonna roll

well you might, but I didn’t

behold, 2 concentric circles with a bunch of stray balls

so I didn’t make the walls of  my ball herring thick enough, so the balls were able to roll out.

the size of the ball itself I got right, but a gave the balls too much room to move.

this has since been fixed and the new one should be printing right now.

if I got the dimensions right the first time, then I would have moved forward with a multidimensional ball herring, but I had no such luck.

i seemed to be overcompensating for the distance that needed to be in between separate parts. i tried to get the spacing down to about a millimeter.
