Draw me like one of your french fries

This assignment was a lot of fun!  As someone who had never used any computer drawing program before, I had a bit of trouble at the beginning figuring out how everything worked. Like it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize that the reason my shapes weren’t showing up was because the fill is set to white by default. I am not a smart man.

The drawings themselves were pretty straightforward. I felt like my pieces were definitely on the easy side. The shapes were mainly made with lines and curves with a few clutch alt-shift circles thrown in here and there. Illustrator made it very straightforward and intuitive to snap together various lines and curves to form a shape. Also shoutout to the guide tool for keeping everything nice and correctly dimensioned. You da real mvp.

The one thing that kinda annoyed me was that the dimensions from the grid (2 grid squares = 1 inch) didn’t always correspond with the dimensions given in the list of parts! For example, the grid tells me the stand (tall thing on the very left) should be 12 inches tall since it takes up exactly 24 grid squares. However the list of parts says that it should be 13.5 inches tall. This bothered me a loooot. I ended up following the list whenever inconsistencies arose, but it made some of the proportions a bit wonky.

On another note, the superbowl sportsbowl was pretty fun.
