Transformers, 3D printed stars in disguise!

Not as catchy admittedly.

After spending way too much time on Thingiverse and looking through way too many way too cool inventions, I settled somewhat on this transformable star-into-square-into-star thingy.

(On  a side note this bunny is super dope https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1391919)

I went in to print this during the break, which was pretty bad timing considering all the lab techs were gone. Thankfully Grant was still hanging around doing his own thing. We went into the printing room, he gave me a basic rundown of how the 3D printing program worked, and with a click the star-cube-thingy was being created!

(You can’t see through the glass in this picture but good stuff is happening)

It took about 5 hours to print this and the material costed 15 dollars, which I was quite surprised was this high. After the print I bathed the part as instructed to remove the support.

Afterwards it came out like this!

Autocubes, roll out!

On a side note, we should 3D print a wall, and then make the OEDK pay for it.
