Hi, I’m Fernanda Lago, and I’m an ELEC major at Jones. I’m a part of the Rice club tennis team, a writing mentor for Engi120, and I’m involved in Powderpuff and Intramural basketball.
One thing I’ve made that I’m proud of is a picture Ferris wheel I made my dad for Father’s Day. The one pictured below is a simpler version that I made for myself.
One thing that I would like to make this semester is something out of metal, as I have not worked with metal yet. I also would like to 3-D print something large. In the future, I would like to make a program that scans a sheet of wood or acrylic for laser cutting and tells the user how much space they have to fit other pieces on the sheet.
One thing I hope to learn in Engi210 is more about AutoCAD and how to make molds.
