Hello! My name is Brendan Hlibok and I’m a sophomore at Jones majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I play lacrosse at Rice and am looking to get more involved with Rice Electric Vehicle and other intramural sports this year. One thing I’m proud to have made is a cork board for my dart board at home, and I’ve always wanted to build an electric skateboard.
The cork board I made.
In Engi 210 I am most excited to get better at using 3-D printers as well as learning how to sew. This past summer I went to Costa Rica with the iSeed program and worked on a project to create a device that simulates tremors from Parkinson’s Disease, and that was my first highly technical project where I had to work with 3-D printers, electronics, and coding. After that experience, I became very excited to take this course and am looking forward to this semester!
