The first step for me was to mix alginate with water. I had 25g of alginate and 50g of water.
This turned out well and I mixed the 2 thoroughly for about 5 minutes.
I sticked my 2 fingers inside the algenate for 10 minutes just to be sure. I wiggled just to make sure it was solid enough so I won’t break it when I take my finger out. It was a little hard to carefully remove the fingers. Afterward, it was time to weigh and mix the plaster.
I mixed 50g of plaster and 25g of water. I added the mixture to the holes I had created.
I realized that I have to find a way to have screws inside but also stick outside. For that reason, I had to use tape to hold the screws in place.
I waited for 30 minutes and my mold was fully dry. It really took me a bit to separate the alginate and the plaster. I actually broke it in half. Next was post-processing. I used sandpaper to make sure my mold was smooth.
Next, I painted it black and it looked good.
