Hey, y’all! My name is Niyah Troup, a junior Mechanical Engineering major from Jones who’s also pursuing an Engineering Design minor and a Japanese Language Certificate. Aside from academics, I’m involved in a few extracurriculars: the National Society of Black Engineers, Jones Black Student Caucus, and Jones Powderpuff to name a few.

One thing that I’ve made that I’m proud of is designing my own original character with an entire backstory and physical rendering (not engineering related at all but I love it all the same).

Something that I’ve always wanted to make is my own simple furniture. Hopefully, through ENGI 210, I will learn valuable woodworking skills so that I can potentially make my own bookshelf or organizer.
