Hi! I’m Janie, a sophomore from Will Rice majoring in bioengineering and minoring in engineering design. I’m a part of Rice ECLIPSE‘s Chemicals team, where we make the fuel grain for our rockets, and I volunteer at the Lu Lab for Synthetic Macromolecular Assemblies when I can.
One thing I’m proud of making is my brother’s mechanical keyboard. I think it looks, sounds, and types really nicely! In the future though, I hope to make a computer keyboard from scratch, ideally incorporating some novel feature. Through ENGI 210, I want to gain a better understanding of the tools available in the OEDK. I find that knowing what I can do and what is possible boosts my creativity and ambition, so I’m excited to learn what I can through this course.
