Clothes protecting apparatus made of photon fed material.

The clothes protecting apparatus was something that I had not had too much experience with before. I had done face masks during covid but did not actually learn the setup of how to fix a sewing machine if it got caught. This project was solely dependent if I was able to fix the sewing machine if it was tangled.

First thing that I did was measure the length that I wanted the clothes to cover on my body (4 1/2ft by 2ft). Then did half the width of my torso as the top then angled it 45 degrees to then be parallel to the total length of the photon fed material.

I then folded the raw photon fed material in half in order to achieve symmetrical cuts. After tracing out the straight lines in the aforementioned dimensions I used the cutter to cut out the outline of the apron.

Once the apron was cut, I used the sewing machine and folding in 1 inch of material to create a nice exterior. Here is where the machine continued to be used wrong and I had to fix it at least 5-6 times. I used the sewing machine to create box stitches on the corners.  I box stitched one fold in the middle to shorten the length in order to fit me tighter and not hand loose.

I then got 3x 2ft cords to make into my straps. Using the box method, I folded the ends to create a nice edge. I attached the neck strap to one side then put it around my neck and pulled the strap to a point where it would be comfortable on my neck.

Once the neck strap was attached, I eyeballed the waist and used the box method to attach the last two straps.
