This project did not require as much work as I initially thought it would.

Most of the work was done in class during the molding and casting work session. I used the recommended ratios for the alginate and that seemed to work good. After the mold hardened, I took my fingers out, prepared the plaster, poured it straight in, and inserted the screws on the top. The next step was waiting.

I came back 3 days later and was happy to find that there was no mold at all. I popped out the alginate easily and was left with my 2 fingers. They looked much better than I thought they would.

For post processing, I applied a clear coat of spray paint, then applied 2 coats of dark green spray paint. Here is the end result.

$24 for 2 hours of labor at $12/hr
