For the CNC project, I decided to make a gear shape block
The SVG file is directly downloaded from the noun project website and imported into the software
After setting home and careful adjusting, the CNC starts working
The gear above was the first result. After this, I wasn’t really satisfied, as a gear should be hollowed inside.
So I re-did everything and drilled through the mid-part. The gear above was the second result.
For post-processing, I sanded the gear up to 220 grits and then went through the usual painting process.
(Which is painting, clear-coating, and sanding again)
I decided to use silver paint at first but didn’t find it, so I switched to golden paint, which is , still, a metal color.
Then, the two golden gears are finished.
Cost Estimate
