Ace of Spades in a Diamond

Hi,
For this week’s assignment, I used the water jet cutter to cut out an ace of Spades bottle opener and post-process it. Initially, I thought of making an ace of spades and an ace of clubs, it turned out very well but then later I came to know that the diamonds had to be similar. So the next time I started again but the second diamond didn’t cut out well. When I asked the

lab assistant for help, they clarified that the water was not draining properly. Learning from all my mistakes,

I started myfinal diamond. I took an aluminum sheet of 0.054 thickness, cleaned out extra lines, selected my auto path and I had my identical pieces ready in 3.5 minutes. I filed the sharp edges and sanded the diamonds to give an even finish.  After this procedure, I decided to sandblast the two diamonds. In the end, I applied a black powder coat. I faced issues while powder coating as the powder wasn’t sticking to the metal, I took the help of the lab assistant and we even tried using different tools but it was not sticking. After trying a couple of times the powder coat worked and  put it in the powder coat oven for 20 minutes.

I had my diamonds ready and I loved how they turned out in the end.
