Hello!

My name is Chase Alvarado, and I am currently a freshman MechE from Wiess! Currently, I am very involved with the Aero Design Club, but I hope to join Eclipse and complete one of their rocket certifications this semester!

One of the things that I helped create that I am most proud of was my group’s ENGI 120 project last semester. We were tasked with fixing the automated elephant feeders for the Houston Zoo, and I think that our device worked well!

This semester, I am really looking forward to our midterm project! I really want to make an orrery or something similar. In the future, I want to build an RC model airplane of the Bell X-1! (I also hope they fix the one laser cutter soon because I also want to try engraving some things!)

While I am in ENGI 210, I hope to learn more about how to use CAD and 3D printing! I can’t wait for this semester of ENGI 210!
