Kathy’s Introduction

Hi everyone! I’m a sophomore at Rice University and am currently majoring in Architecture. I am part of the Rice architecture society as a studio representative, so you might see me at events such as the archi market or architectronica. You might also run into me at campus/club events, the rec center, and the rice coffee house. Something that I’m proud of making is my final model for the second semester of my freshman year, which has been photographed and displayed in MD Anderson Hall over the summer. A project that seems really interesting to me is the CNC Machining one, and I’m really looking forward to working on it! I have always been really interested in physics and all hands-on aspects of it, especially mechanics, when I took courses and participated in programs during my junior years in high school, so I’m extremely looking forward to the projects that we’re about to work on through this semester and the 3D printing, Plasma cut, Waterjet, and Laser cutting skills that we will be obtaining.
