Metal Cutting and Processing

Hello everyone!

I started by designing a metal diamond with an ice cream symbol lying in its center. I was able to create this by finding a random Google image and adding it to the diamond template within Inkscape. I then started by sending this design to the plasma cutter, following all of the steps necessary to cut out two diamond designs.

After I picked retrieved my diamond pieces from the plasma cutter, I went to the back and used the angle grinder to clear out any unnecessary pieces of metal from the sides.

After finishing that, I went into the wet lab to use the sand blaster to clear away the surface of the metal pieces.

Once that was completed, I went to the back of the OEDK again and spray painted the metal pieces to complete the post processing of my project.
