Introducing Korie!

Hi everyone! My name is Korie Rudin and I am a current Masters of Bioengineering student in the GMI program. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Biological Engineering.

This past summer I interned in Costa Rica at a company called Meditek. I performed maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical devices from surgical beds to anesthesia machines. I loved being able to work  hands on with the devices and learn how to fix them.

One thing I have made that I am proud of is a wooden dresser. My dad is a woodworker so he has his own shop in our basement that I got to use to build it. The dresser is still in my room back home! I would love to make a rocking chair in the future.

This semester I really want to learn how to use a laser cutter. I worked a summer job at a sign making company and they had a laser cutter but I never got to learn how to use it. I think they are very cool and I would love to learn how they work.
