Hi! My name is Carlisa George, I am a Chemical Engineering Sophomore with a minor in engineering design. I have a passion for God, sustainability and hands on work. More than that even, I love serving people and meeting their needs. Due to this I also do a lot of courses to improve myself as a global citizen as I believe it is import for future engineers to serve broader demographics of peoples in various countries, climates and socioeconomic standing.
At Rice I am engaged in the Caribbean Student Association, Cru, SWE, NSBE, etc. One thing that I’ve made that I’m proud of is my ENGI 120 project on a battery-less blood pressure monitors for low resource communities which is similar to projects that I aspire to work on in the future, practical devices entirely run off renewables.
I consider myself very much a creative, I love writing, planning and coming up with ideas that I quite frankly rarely know how to go about implementing. That is where I believe ENGI 210 comes in……
I hope to learn in ENGI210 how to bring ideas to life and to incorporate different machinery to get a refined prototype, and practical solutions.

This is my face.
