Hello, my name is Beck Nakhleh, and I am a sophomore at Rice University in Sports Medicine + Human Physiology and Finance, with a certificate in Japanese Language (hopefully). I am a Sidizen (resident of Sid Richardson Residential College) and serve on the Spirits and Baking committees at my college, as well as the Lav Team on campus, and am a PAA.
One thing I have made that I am proud of is a Lucy from CyberPunk: Edgerunners cosplay, which is the cosplay I’ve made that I had to make/alter nearly everything for, as well as dying and styling my own wig for the first time. I would, of course, like to improve it with prosthetics, electronic segments, more intricate boots, and an overall increase in quality.
This semester in ENGI 210, I would like to make 3D printed prototypes of my ceramicware and make plaster molds with them to slipcast more intricate shapes and non-circular symmetrical works that I would like to easily replicate.
I would really like to learn how to 3D model in digital software that will translate to either 3D printing or laser cutting (for works made up of 2D planes) to improve my sculptural and crafting abilities.
