Hi, I am Samuel Kramer.  I am a Mechanical Engineering Major with a minor in Engineering Design.  I am a Sophomore from Sid Rich.  I am a member of Rice Escape and am looking to get back to working with the Rice BattleBots team.

I love designing and building things.  One of the most recent things I made was a platform that can be tilted and raised in any direction with the goal of balancing a marble on top of it.  This was a fun engineering project I took on during the summer and I am looking forward to finishing the project by perfecting the code to make the whole process automatic.

Sometime soon I am hoping to make some form of powerful T-shirt cannon.  I think there is something quite exciting about launching things, because who doesn’t love to launch things.  Furthermore, the idea behind a T-shirt cannon is quite simple in principle, but they cost a lot of money to try to buy one online.

I am excited to learn how to use the waterjet in EDES 210, and am hoping to master my 3D printing skills.  I am really excited for the class and am looking forward to all the opportunities in it.
