For this assignment, I did a slight variation on the sunglasses case and made a sleeve instead. I always liked how these were a lot slimmer yet still provided protection, and I was tired of using the little bag that came with my sunglasses so this assignment came at the perfect time.
I started off by cutting out two pieces of fabric to be the same size, using my own sunglasses as a guide.

I then used a back stitch to stitch 3 sides together with the outside of the fabric on the inside.

I then flipped the piece inside out (so the stitches were hidden), cut out a piece of padding and put it inside and stitched it together on the top.

If I could redo this I would have left extra fabric on top so I could have folded the top of the two fabrics in and used a hidden stitch, but this worked fine in the end.
Finally, I folded the whole piece in half and used a hidden stitch on the bottom and side to close out my sleeve. The padding I cut was slightly smaller in width than the fabric pieces so that when I folded the sleeve it didn’t bunch up too much.
