Last homework! And my favorite<3
I had never used the CNC machine and was so happy to finally learn how to use it.
I started by selecting the image i wanted to cut and applying the contour and pocket toolpaths.
I choose a birthday rat because it looked cute!

I then went to my CNC tutorial and the TA taught me how to use the machine. It was really easy to calibrate the Nomad CNC machine and changing the endmills.

One of the rats looks a little less marked maybe because the wood wasn’t as adjusted as it could be since the TA mentioned that one of the pieces of the machine to keep it in place was a little broken, but it still looked really cute and barely noticeable after post processing.
I then post processed the piece by sanding any imperfections, I used wood tint to color the back of the pieces and acrylic paint to paint the rats and decorations.

I then used a pump of resin mix and separated it into different cups to make the different colors I wanted to use in my rat design. Since my design pockets were a little small I got a very tin piece of wood and sanded it to use as a paintbrush, since I didn’t wanted to waste a real one as it would be stuck in resin.

I think it turned out so cute!

I was now done! This was my favorite homework and I really enjoyed it because I learned a lot and I li.
