Hi everyone!!!

My name is Ashelin Medina, and I am a sophomore from Baker, majoring in Finance and Psychology with a minor in Engineering Design. I am a member of the Rice Women in Business club and serve as a coordinator for the Rice Women’s Resource Center.

One thing I have built that I am proud of is a two-story shed I constructed with my dad this past summer.

I want to make an animatronic from Five Nights at Freddy’s. The animatronic would focus on upper body movement, including the head, jaw, and arms, rather than full-body motion. I would like to use either 3D-printed or laser-cut parts to support the structure. The outer shell would be lightweight, possibly made from plastic!

I’m really excited to learn how to 3d print and learn more about different engineering design processes and methodologies:))))
