Hi! My name is Angela, and I’m a freshman from Baker. I’m planning on majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Engineering Design and maybe Statistics. I’m also a part of Rice Robotics.

Last semester, I was a part of EDES 120. My group designed a playground for a Montessori school in Mexico, and this is a prototype of the rolling slide we made with pvc pipes. We spent a lot of time brainstorming and prototyping to reach our final design and project, and I don’t think I’ve ever lost that much sleep for anything in my life.

In the future, I would like to make a rotating shoe rack. This past semester, I kept saying I’m going to build a shoe rack but I have yet to do so so my shoes are just in a disarray.

In EDES 210, I hope to learn how to make 3D puzzles and slot wood together without any adhesives, but  I’m excited to learn how to use all the machines in the OEDK and create little figurines and gadgets!
