Hi! My name is Yuka Aoyama, and I am a junior pursuing CS major and Engineering Design minor. I am very passionate about human-centered design. To pursue my interests, I have taken many classes in Psychology and Entrepreneurship department. At Rice, I am a Social rep of Rice Data Science Club and Junior Class Rep at Hanszen College.
I am really proud of ChatApp which I made from scratch in Comp310, a Java application in which users can directly message, create a group chat, and send texts and customized games to each other.
(also 3D printed the little pegman in Google Maps that you can see in the game above, my first and only 3D printing project)
In the future, I want to make interactive furniture and decorations. Below is an example.
I hope to learn all basic tools’ names and their uses and technical skills in this class, especially related to woodworking and 3D printing.
