Hi everyone! My name is James and I am a Mechanical Engineering major from Will Rice. I’m from Brownsville, Texas and am super excited to join this class!
One of my biggest passions is the aerospace field. I am currently a rotational intern at NASA Johnson Space Center as part of the Pathways program. I have done one rotation under Flight Operations and will be starting my next rotation in January as a Guidance, Navigation, and Control intern in January.

While I have a fair amount of real-world job experience, none of these have had much to do with physical prototyping. In the past I constructed a couple of benches that I’m proud of, and I hope to be able to create anything more exciting then furniture! I’m super excited to utilize my time in EDES 210 to learn more about prototyping and to become more proficient in all of the OEDK’s great tools (especially 3D printing since it interests me the most). Some of my previous experience in the OEDK includes Rice Eclipse and being an OEDK lab assistant.
