Hand Sewing – Sunglasses Case

I wanted to make a case to protect my sunglasses because they tend to collect dust when I’m not wearing them. I first cut out the pieces of fabric needed for the case and the stuffing to line it. I then hand-stitched the entire perimeter using a thin sewing thread, leaving a small opening for the cotton padding and to reverse the fabric, as shown below.

Next, after reversing the fabric to hide the seams, I added in the cotton stuffing to pad the case. This would provide extra protection for my sunglasses.
Then, I hand-stitched the opening and folded up the case to form a triangle flap that could open and shut using a snap button. After stitching both sides using a thicker embroidery thread and needle, I reversed the fabric again so the denim was on the outside and the felt was the interior of the case.
Finally, I sewed the button snaps on the sunglasses case, completing the project.
