For this assignment, I needed to design something a witch could give to someone to tell them they cared, and it needed to be covered in mushrooms.
These are the sketches I made in brainstorming. My first idea was a cauldron decorated with pictures of mushrooms. I also sketched a bow to put onto the cauldron so that the witch could present it as a gift to someone.
My second idea was a basket gift. Inside would be a heart-as a symbol of love or caring-resting on a bed of mushrooms.
My last idea was a broom covered in mushrooms. I initially drew a standard straw broom but that didn’t seem to be representational of a witch so I drew another broom that was much less clean.
I chose my second idea to do more detailed drawings of. This is a side view of the basket containing the heart and mushrooms. You can see the heart poking out the top, but the mushrooms are still hidden below the basket’s rim.
This is my second drawing of the basket idea. This one is a top down view of the inside of the basket. I omitted the handle in this drawing in order to better represent what the inside of the basket will contain.
