Hi everyone! My name is Julia Zhu, and I’m a sophomore studying Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). I’m originally from Monterey, California.

I have experience with robotics and worked on an EDES 120 project to design a tennis ball analyzer, which I’m really proud of. Something I really want to make in the future is a garden with a treehouse. I’m also a current OEDK Lab Assistant, so say hi if you see me on shift!
Outside of engineering, I enjoy making cafe drinks like matcha and black sesame lattes. I’m the co-founder of Sid Sips, a committee that makes handcrafted cafe drinks at Sid Richardson. I also love making jewelry, especially earrings.
In EDES 210, I am excited to learn how to use the sewing machine to embroider. I look forward to sharing my creations and seeing what everyone builds this semester!
