My name is Pedro Regino and I am a sophomore at Duncan College studying Mechanical Engineering. Some of my favorite activities to do besides studying are working out, playing the piano, watching movies, and playing soccer with friends. I am part of Rice’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), I spend half of my life at the OEDK, and I plan to join the Rice Electrical Vehicle team this year.
One thing I have made that I am proud of would have to be the wearable robotic suit that I made with my ENGI 120/200 team last year. It certainly was an adventure trying to figure out how to finish the project.
One thing that I want to make this year is a key holder. Similar to the ID holder which most Rice students have on the back of their phones, the key holder would be an easier way to carry a key around and would greatly reduce key losses.
In ENGI 210 I hope to learn how to use the plasma and laser cutter.
