Brian’s Bike Wheel Model

This week I decided to model something that I knew a lot about, yet still had a significant degree of difficulty: bike wheels. I made a standard front wheel with an Endrick-style rim. It has 36 spokes and is built so as can be resized easily. The spoke nipples are also modeled and the spokes are laced in a cross-2 pattern. The design is based off of the front wheel of my 1989 Centurion Dave Scott Ironman bike.

This is the front wheel to my road bike.

Model of the entire wheel.

Front Wheel Hub that would fit a quick release skewer.

This is a standard Endrock Rim.
